Springer is being used as a logistic utility mule with a payload capacity of 1.2 tonne. The Springer will enable the delivery of vital equipment to front line troops. It is designed specifically for rugged, desert conditions - which means it is well-matched to the operational environment in Afghanistan. The first vehicle of its kind to be used by British Forces in theatre and provides battlefield commanders with additional transport capabilities on the front line.
